This educational website on the classification of animals was created by Caitlin Anderson, a freshman studying elementary education at Boston University, as part of a course entitled Ed101 in BU's School of Education.

This website is intended for Mr. Sean D'Abbraccio's 3rd grade class at the Alcott Elementary School in Concord, MA. 


This website aims to help students understand that classification is the arrangement of objects, ideas, or information into groups based on similarities and that classification makes things easier to find, identify, and study, with the ultimate goal that students understand the classification of the six basic animal groups (mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish, insects.)
